Chichester Copywriter Good marketing starts with good words

Events for readers and writers at Chichester Library this April

This month, Chichester Library has two events that will excite readers and writers alike. Not only are they hosting a celebration of World Book Night but they’re also holding a self-publishing talk with Indepenpress.

Celebrate World Book Night at Chichester Library

For World Book Night, 2013, Tuesday 23rd April , 2013, Chichester Library is having a free open-evening.

There will be free copies of some of the 20 World Book Night titles available (first come, first served). We’ve heard that Community Librarian Flic Masters is giving away Sophie Hannah’s Little Face so there’ll certainly be something for crime fans.  You’re also invited to test your book knowledge with the World Book Night Quiz – you could even win a prize!

What’s more, the U3A will be telling book themed stories for adults between 7.30 and 8.15. Katy of Chichester Copywriter (an avid audiobook fan) is really looking forward to experiencing the magic of stories brought to life and finding out more about the importance of storytelling to our history and understanding of our world. The stories will be accompanied by live acoustic guitar music.

There’s no need to book for this free event, just go along to Chichester Library, enjoy some light refreshments and celebrate World Book Night with like-minded, local folk. Last year, Sussex authors Gabrielle Kimm and Isabel Ashdown joined in the literary celebrations, who knows who’ll pop in this year?

Find out about Self-Publishing at Chichester Library

The following week, Tuesday 30th April from 7.30, you’ll have the opportunity to find out more about the publishing industry, particularly self-publishing. This sounds like yet another Chichester Library event that our South Coast copywriter will struggle to stay away from!

As well as covering an overview of the industry, from conventional publishing to self-publishing and the future of the industry, this talk will allow plenty of time for discussion and the opportunity to ask a representative of Indepenpress any burning questions.

Tickets for this event are just £3.00 and are available directly from Chichester Library. For more details or to book, please call: 01243 777351 or email:
