With Sympathy – Not your everyday product range and certainly not an easy subject to write about, Katy provided sensitive yet persuasive product descriptions for this range of funeral stationery. The professionally printed range spanned announcement cards, memorial cards, orders of service, attendance cards and thank you cards. This was a project managed by Jelly Digital Design.

Valerio Jewellery – This was an exciting opportunity for Katy to write product descriptions for Fairtrade wedding, engagement and eternity rings. These were all responsibly sourced and handmade by artisan mining activist and CRED Jewellery founder Greg Valerio MBE. Katy honed her product description craft writing for online jewellers and this provided an excellent foundation for creating beautifully worded copywriting to do this stunning Fairtrade jewellery collection justice.


Miband – After working on Southbourne Rubber’s SEO website copywriting, Katy was approached by their MD Stephen to help bring their new product range to fruition by writing product descriptions and website copy. Already renowned for manufacturing high-quality silicone o-rings for the likes of the MOD and British Aerospace, this Hampshire company diversified by making their products into hardwearing, hygienic, and comfortable jewellery. Their target markets include NHS workers and electricians who can’t wear their precious metals at work and watersports enthusiasts and festival-goers who don’t want to risk losing their weddings bands in the great outdoors. With a trendy tidy website created by Oxygen Design, Katy had fun creating product descriptions for the different audiences with plenty of flair to reflect the brand.

Beswick Stone – Experienced at managing social media marketing for Beswick Stone, their sister business Flagstones Direct and a full portfolio of home décor/building products, Katy was the ideal choice for this product description project. The online flooring retailer has a wide-ranging collection of flagstones, porcelain tiles and engineered-oak floorboards – many of which are fairly similar in look and construction. The art here was to make the products sound unique and tap into the customers’ interior design aspirations. This was a project managed by Carica Media.


ASDA – A fantastic opportunity to write for one of the UK’s leading supermarket retailers, Katy was part of a team providing product descriptions for ASDA’s seasonal ranges. This included party decorations and favours, Halloween costumes and Christmas cards. Again, many of the products were samey (some just differing in colour) so writing with variety and interest was the challenge. And Katy rocked it! This was a project managed by Brightword Communications.

George (ASDA) – After doing such a great job copywriting about ASDA’s party goods, Katy was asked back to write product description for ASDA’s homeware range, George. This included writing about everything from towel bales and shower curtains to kettles and toasters. Combining the products’ specifications with their interior design appeal and George’s breezy brand was the order of the day here. This was a project managed by Brightword Communications.

Zeal Watches – One of Katy’s first international projects, writing about diamond watches was a fine way for Chichester Copywriter to cut her freelance product description writing teeth. Katy got to choose the product names for the exclusive collection as well as big up their many attributes with professional copywriting that would translate clearly for a multilingual European market.
