Writing For Children is the first competition the team has run related to Young Adult fiction – an ever increasing market that is read just as widely by adults as it is children with the 2015 Costa book of the Year award going to Frances Hardinge, the first time since 2001 a children’s book has won the coveted prize.

So, if you fancy yourself the next Frances Hardinge, JK Rowling or Phillip Pullman, and you have an original exciting story in you for the 8-16-year-old market, get writing and enter this competition. You could be a prize winner!

The winner will have their story published on the Worthing WOW page of The Worthing Herald and on the Worthing WOW website. They will also walk away with £100!
