Bestselling West Sussex author Beryl Kingston will be at Bognor Regis Library on 15th April to talk about her latest novel, Francesca and the Mermaid.
Although Beryl started writing when she was seven-years-old, she was first published at 49. She has written 25 books, the first of which was a bestseller, and passed the million mark in sales with book number 12. Beryl still has 13 stories waiting to find their way to the page and she writes every day.
In Beryl’s latest novel (book number 24), Francesca spots a mermaid while on a cruise with her self-centred lover. The sight of it swimming away inspires her to change her life. At the end of the cruise, she leaves her lover and moves to Lewes in East Sussex where she becomes a painter. But freedom presents its own problems and she discovers she has much to learn.
Beryl’s talk starts at 19.00. Tickets are £3 and are available from Bognor Regis Library, London Road, PO21 1DE. For more information, please call: 01243 382470.
