Gabrielle Kimm writes beautifully descriptive historical fiction and her first novel, His Last Duchess, was published by Little, Brown in August 2010. The debut, which paints an intriguing picture of life and love for the elite in 16th Century Tuscany Italy, climbed quickly to number five in the Bookseller Magazine’s ‘Heatseekers’ list, where it stayed for several weeks.
The Courtesan’s Lover, Gabrielle’s upcoming second novel, is due for release in November 2011. Again we’ll meet Francesca Felizzi, the mistress of duke Alfonso d’Este in His Last Duchess, and Chichester Copywriter can’t wait for another great read.
